The present invention relates to a processing apparatus of broadband and narrowband services in communication devices and the method thereof. The present invention posits the IPF model, HPF model and XDSL service processing model included in the broadband and narrowband services processing apparatus into one line-card which is in a slot in the communication device, so that the number of ports the same office side communication device can supplied is increased greatly, and the cost of supplying each subscriber port is reduced. In addition, when the broadband and narrowband service processing apparatus is connected with the subscriber line according to the present invention, the wire cables and connectors are reduced apparently than the ones according to the prior art, and this reduces the implementing cost of office side communication device for supplying each port.
