The post has an inner closed space (31) delimited by metallic profiles (4, 5) comprising sections of complementary shape for stacking together. The profiles comprise of right flanges (42, 52), left flanges (43, 53) and central cores (41, 51). The flange (42) has passages (44) for rods and tubes of a grid. The profile (5) has a support part (54) comprising legs (55) cooperating with end parts of the rods and/or tubes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a fence comprising a grid and a post (B) a method for assembling a fence.
