Front technical face for motor vehicle frame is made from sheet metal core and over-moulded plastic components

The technical face (1), designed to be fixed to a vehicle frame (11) to receive parts of the body shell (12) and ancillary equipment, consists of a metal core (2) on the form of a more or less flat panel, and at least one wall (3, 4) of a plastic material extending from the plane of the panel, which lies across the front of the vehicle. The upper part of the face comprises a beam with a metal core and over-moulded plastic flanges (3) along its two main edges and reinforcing ribs (8). The face is made by inserting the metal core in a mould and injecting the plastic to engage with fastening tongues on it.
