Machine for pressing-cambering glass sheets incorporating an edge pressure roller to prevent localised deformations forming waves on the cambered glass sheet

A machine for pressing-cambering glass sheets (2) comprises : (A) some support rollers (32) rotating around their longitudinal axes, which are globally perpendicular to the displacement direction of the glass sheets; (B) a male shaping component (6) for the glass sheets; (C) at least one longitudinal element able to support a longitudinal edge of the sheets parallel to the direction of advance, pressing the edge of the sheet against the shaping component during pressing- cambering. The longitudinal element is formed by a pressure roller (7) with a length (L2) at least equal to the length (L7) of the glass sheets along the direction of advance. The pressure roller is arranged between the longitudinal axes (Y2 - Y'2) of the support rollers and the male shaping component.
