FIELD: high-voltage pulse engineering; spark plugs for carburetor internal-combustion engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed discharger has two electrodes separated by spark gap. One of them is spherical electrode and other one is mounted in a spaced relation to spherical electrode. Some portion of spherical electrode surface has rough area whose protruding part faces second electrode. Spherical-electrode rough area in one of design alternates has a few pointed tenons disposed over its diameter and second electrode is essentially some portion of surface of cylindrical pipe enclosing spherical electrode so that concave part of second electrode faces pointed tenons, distance between pointed ends of tenons and second electrode surface being equal. Other design alternate of spherical electrode has a few pointed tenons disposed over perimeter of its sector; second electrode is made in the form of hemisphere around perimeter of sector carrying spherical-electrode tenons, distance between pointed ends of tenons and second-electrode surface being equal. ^ EFFECT: enhanced service life of electrodes, reduced voltage required for firing discharge. ^ 4 cl, 5 dwg |
