PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device for eliminating the need of work for preliminarily associating a still image with a music file in order to reproduce the still picture photographed by a user at reproducing of music in a portable device provided with both a camera and audio player functions. SOLUTION: Music and still image related information (103) associated with a music file (104) that the user designates for reproduction is read, when the music and still image related information (103) is associated with a first still image file group (105), a corresponding still image in the first still picture file group (105) is reproduced according to the music and still image related information (103); and when the music and still image related information (103) is not associated with the first still image file group (105), an optional file in a second still image file group (106) photographed beforehand by the user are reproduced.
