PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable roaming for switching the connection of a terminal to an access point, where communication quality is obtained optimally, even when adjacent access point is set by a different channel. SOLUTION: A method of relaying a relay device includes the steps of receiving a measuring packet periodically transmitted from a terminal 12 at the access point 10; detecting a receiving level value, registering the receiving level value into a management table (association table), when the measuring packet from the terminal which informs a connection permission; informing the receiving level value to other access point which informs the connection permission when the measuring packet which does not inform the connection permission; and registering the receiving level value further informed from the other access point, to the management table. The method includes the steps of comparing own receiving level value, registered into the management table, with the receiving level value of other access point, canceling the connection permission to the terminal, and informing the change to next access point, when the receiving level value of other access point exceeds the own receiving level.
