PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foldable type portable terminal equipment capable of obtaining excellent sound output regardless of an open/closed state by using a single speaker. SOLUTION: A speaker 23 is arranged at a recessed part 22 formed on the inner surface of one of a first case body 20 and a second case body 30 connected by a hinge 40. Sound from the speaker 23 is outputted directly to a user in the open state and is outputted to the outside of the first case body 20 through sound guide parts 22, 34 and 24 formed on the first case body 20 and the second case body 30 in the closed state.
