PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a special effect suitable for continuity of two continuous scenes without processing the data of a motion picture scene itself when special effects having inverted reproduction order are set at the time of recording. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus for photographing a motion picture and describing reproduction order or special effect at the time of reproduction on a play list for each group of motion pictures photographed continuously in time comprises a means for recording the play list, a means for rewriting the play list by reading the play list recorded in the recording means at the time of photography, and a means for judging the continuity of at least one of camera information, image information and time information corresponding to two motion pictures having inverted reproduction order wherein the rewriting means rewrites special effect if the continuity evaluating means judges that continuity exists.
