PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that JPEG decoding processing cannot correctly be carried out since the X parameter of a JPEG header includes number of bits in the main scanning direction having not being processed so far, when the conventional facsimile machine receives information that original information is transmitted in the form of JPEG coded color information in a color space sYCC, uploads the received information to a Compact Flash card, and the information is processed by a digital still camera or a PC. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine capable of communicating color information disclosed herein includes a means for storing received information to a connected card, and stores the JPEG coding information of the color space sYCC when receiving the JPEG coding information of the color space sYCC, but changes the received information depending on the contents of the JPEG header and thereafter, stores the changed received information to the card.
