PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "changer type disk device" capable of preventing a non-circular irregular shape disk from being pulled into a chassis. SOLUTION: The changer type disk device is provided with a disk carrying mechanism 5 including: a first guide body 11 in which a plurality of driving pulley 13 including a first driving pulley 13a on the front side are arranged in a row; a second guide body 12 having a guide groove 21a; and a guide body interval changing means for changing the facing interval between the guide bodies 11 and 12, wherein both the sides of the periphery part of the inserted disk are held between the driving pulley 13 and the guide groove 21a so that the automatic carriage is performed by the rotational driving force of the driving pulley 13. By the abutment of the periphery part of the inserted disk against the first driving pulley 13a axially supported by a rotary lever 15, the rotary lever 15 is rotated so that a detection switch 20 is turned on. It is determined whether the inserted disk is the irregular shape disk or not, on the basis of both the output signals of the detection switch 20 and an optical sensor 19 mounted on the rotary lever 15.
