PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phased array ultrasonic probe assembly. SOLUTION: The phased array ultrasonic probe assembly 10 comprises a housing 12 and a phased array transducer 14 supported in the housing. The housing includes a first sidewall 16, a second sidewall 18 facing it, a first end wall 20, and a second end wall 22 facing it. The first and second sidewalls and the first and second end walls form a housing cavity 24, in which the phased array transducer is arranged.
