摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel load detection device capable of installing a load sensor compactly on a vehicle, and detecting a load applied to the wheel stably with excellent sensitivity. SOLUTION: A magnetostrictive material 9 is interposed between an inboard side end face 2c of a rotating side wheel 2 bonded to a constant-velocity universal joint 13 in a vehicle bearing device 18 and an outboard side end face 13c of an outer wheel 13a of the constant-velocity universal joint 13. A detection part 10 for detecting a stress change of the magnetostrictive material 9 is provided on a position facing to the magnetostrictive material 9. Hereby, when an axial force such as a bending moment load is applied to the wheel at the cornering time of the vehicle and a stress change is applied to the magnetostrictive material 9, the stress change is detected by the detection part 10, and a load applied to the wheel can be detected from a variation of the stress change.
