PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fear that a magnet moves when a diaphragm instantaneously vibrates following variation of gas pressure and resultantly a gas flow rate is erroneously detected. SOLUTION: A diaphragm gas meter is constituted in such a way that it comprises the diaphragm reciprocally movable according to variation of gas pressure, vane shafts 12, 12a connected with the diaphragm, large arm metals 13, 13a of which one end vane shafts 12, 12a are arranged, and small arm metals 14, 14a of which one end the other end of the large arm metals 13, 13a are connected, wherein the diaphragm gas meter is constituted so that the diaphragm reciprocally moves and the vane shafts 12, 12a rotate and accordingly the other end of the small arms 14, 14a moves drawing an annular trajectory. A pin 8 is provided on the small arm metals 14, 14a, and a circular rotor 1 having a magnet 2 and a notch 3 is arranged close to the small arm metals 14, 14a. When the diaphragm instantaneously vibrates, in other words, when the movement of the pin 8 is small, a play is given between the side of the pin 8 and the end surface of the notch 3 such that the side of the pin 8 and the end surface of the notch 3 do not contact and the rotor 1 does not rotate.
