摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for attaching a magnetic encoder, which enables a work of circumferential positioning to be easily carried out, when the magnetic encoder 1 is attached to an shaft edge section 12 of a rotary shaft 11 such as a crankshaft or the like. SOLUTION: In the structure for attaching the magnetic encoder, in which the magnetic encoder 1 is attached to the shaft edge section 12 of the rotary shaft 11 such as the crankshaft or the like after circumferential positioning, a position checking section 21 is disposed in order to accurately position the magnetic encoder 1 circumferentially relatively to the shaft edge section 12. For example, the position checking section 21 is made up by combining holes 22, 23 each being formed at one position on the circumference of the shaft edge section 12 and the magnetic encoder 1, and the holes 22, 23 are brought to overlap each other, whereby it is checked that the magnetic encoder 1 is accurately positioned circumferentially relatively to the shaft edge section 12.
