PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion sensor for accurately measuring abrasion loss of a slide part in stages. SOLUTION: This abrasion sensor for detecting abrasion of a sliding surface of a component member of an industrial machine is equipped with an end part equipped with a plurality of step parts 20a to 20e of insulating material having steps different in height from each other and conductive film parts 51a to 51e formed on the surfaces of the plurality of step parts 20a to 20e. This sensor is characterized by including a body part 2 fixable to the component member so as to cause an end surface 2a of the end part to be flush with a sliding surface of the component member, and worn away in stages starting from step parts closer to the sliding surface among the plurality of step parts 20a to 20e in concurrence with the wear of the component member.
