<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step guard with illumination display of an automobile capable of efficiently condensing a small energy light source of an LED by a light guide body, and illuminating specified characters and pattern at high brightness without irregularities by setting the section of the light guide body to be in a wedge shape with the thickness thereof being reduced from an incident end face part to a reflecting end face part, providing a satin finished, irregular reflecting surface on a back side of the light guide body, and devising the color of a reflecting plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the step guard, a character plate 6 and a light-emitting panel 3 to cover the character plate are provided, a light guide body 8 is provided on a back side of the character plate 6, a reflecting plate 9 is provided to surround the light guide body 8, and an LED light source 12 is arranged at the position facing an incident end face part 83 of the light guide body 8. The section of the light guide body 8 is set to be in a wedge shape with the thickness thereof being reduced from the incident end face part 83 to a reflecting end face part 84, and a satin finished, irregular reflecting surface 86 is provided on a back side 82 of the light guide body 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
