<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable direct printout also from an apparatus having no printer driver such as a mobile terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A printing requirement from a terminal is received on a printer side, and then it is determined whether to process it with the printer. When the printer cannot process an object document, an output format is specified, data is transmitted to a server, the object document is expanded using a module on a server, and a processing result is returned from the server to the printer.
