<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly with an improved assembling property and a liquid crystal display device having above. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight assembly includes a storing container structured with a bottom part and a side part and equipped with a storing space, a first mold stored at each side of the storing container, a power impressing member made of a metal slid and fastened to the first mold, and lamps fixed in parallel with the power impressing member, respectively, generating light by reacting to impressed driving voltage through the power impressing member. The first mold includes a joining part fixing the power impressing member slid along a length direction of the lamp and a side wall corresponded with a side part of the storing container extended from the joining part. Therefore, since the power impressing member fixing the lamp is joined to the first mold by a sliding method, an assembling property can be improved and manufacturing cost can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
