摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus which is miniaturized and thinned and also stably vertically set by optimizing the arranging balance of the component elements of the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 10 has a nearly rectangular parallelepiped housing whose length in the vertical direction is longer than length in the horizontal direction, a memory detachably attached to the housing, a memory holding part holding the memory in the housing, a battery 31 detachably attached to the housing, a lens unit 32 equipped with an imaging lens body 21, a main substrate 35 on which electronic parts are mounted, an LCD 14 displaying a picture, and a sub substrate on which an operation part is mounted. The lens unit and the LCD are successively laminated and arranged on the upper part side of the housing from a subject side, and the battery, the main substrate, the memory holding part and the sub substrate are successively laminated and arranged on the lower part side of the housing, then the housing is made to self-stand on its own base.
