PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in standby operation in a multi-output switching power supply device that uses power only from a sub-output in the standby operation. SOLUTION: In the standby operation that outputs power only from the sub-output, the output voltage of a main converter is reset to a sub-output voltage. (The threshold of a voltage detection circuit 12 is changed by an external signal.) Also, in the standby operation, a sub-converter is not operated (the control terminal of a switching element Q2 is separated from a chopper control circuit 14, and on-potential is imparted to the control terminal of the switching element Q2), and the output voltage of the main converter that is reset to the sub-output voltage is appropriated to the sub-voltage.
