PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a novel structure which has a pull-down mechanism for pulling down a power unit of a vehicle to the lower side thereof upon collision of the vehicle, and allows vibrationproof supports to retain a sufficient vibrationproof capability for a power unit while surely preventing the power unit from protruding into a vehicle room upon a front-to-rear collision. SOLUTION: The safety device is provided with front-to-rear members 30, 30 which are bent downwardly by an external force caused by a front-to-rear collision, and also with a pull-down coupling part 38 which at least couples the front-to-rear members 30, 30 to the power unit 32 to transmit the downward bending displacement of the front-to-rear members 30, 30 to the power unit 32 and pulls it down upon the front-to-rear collision. The pull-down coupling part 38 is arranged to be independent of the vibrationproof supports 18, 18, 20 that support the power unit 32 in a vibrationproof manner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
