PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof cap for an ultrasonic endoscope capable of being mechanically fixed to an ultrasonic connector, excellent in applying and handling. SOLUTION: Under the condition that the waterproof cap 40 is applied to the ultrasonic connecter 14, a water-tightness maintaining part 48b is attached firmly to the body 30a and the water-tightness of the ultrasonic connector 14 is secured. A reactive force imparting elastic member 48d is abutted to a tip face 31 in a state that a position defining projection 45 is inserted into a position defining hole 36 constituted of communication hole 54b and the 30d. Thus, the reactive force imparting elastic member 48d is abutted to the tip face 31 and a reactive force is created in the direction of an arrow (b) in the figure against the locking force created in the direction of the arrow (b), when a cam shaft 43 is located mechanically on a flat surface 56c of the cam 56. When the position defining projection 45 is located in the position defining hole 36, the waterproof cap 40 is applied to the ultrasonic connector 14 without tilting, balancing out the locking force with the reactive force created by the reactive force imparting member 48d.
