PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing backward flow of fine dust in a fine dust chamber to a centrifugal separation chamber. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with an electric blower (not shown), the centrifugal separation chamber 45 centrifugally separating the dust, a communication port B46 provided in a part of a circumferential wall 45b forming the centrifugal separation chamber 45, and the fine dust chamber 47 communicated with the centrifugal separation chamber 45 via the communication port B46 and storing the fine dust separated in the centrifugal separation chamber 45. A cylindrical rib 45c which is extended to the side of the fine dust chamber 47 of the communication port B46 can prevent the backward flow of the fine dust intruded in the fine dust chamber 47 to the centrifugal separation chamber 45.
