The invention relates to a device for securing valuables, particularly means of payment, banknotes, bank checks or cards, comprising a container (7) consisting of a bin that is open on its front face whereby enabling at least one drawer (8) forming a compartment, inside which said values are positioned, to slide from a first position of insertion in which the drawer (8) extends completely or partially outside the bin (7) thus enabling the values to be placed inside the drawer (8), and up to a second storage position in which this drawer (8) extends inside the bin (7) so that the valuables placed therein are secured by a secured compartment (9) separate from the outside. This secured compartment (9) is positioned perpendicular to the securing means that are capable of initiating a marking, a damaging or a destruction of the values in the event this container (7) is broken into or during an attempt to break into this container (7).
