The invention relates to a rotationally symmetrical filter housing (1) produced by means of rotary shapes. Said filter housing comprises a stabilisation dome (3) which is arranged inside the housing wall (2) and which is used to increase the rigidity and firmness thereof, said housing wall receiving the filter cartridge (4). The housing wall (2) and the stabilisation dome (3) are one-storied, are made of the same material and are connected to each other on the total periphery thereof by means of annular connections (6.1), exclusively in the region of the outlets (7) and in the region of the cover (5). The housing wall (2) and the stabilisation dome (3) are connected to each other by means of point connections (6) in the region of the front side (2.1) and in region of the cover. A gap is formed in the remaining areas between the housing wall (2) and the stabilisation dome (3) thus reducing noise production.
