<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil device of a split winding mode in which a winding can be prevented from collapsing while a core is miniaturized and a form is simplified, and to provide a method of manufacturing the coil device. <P>SOLUTION: The coil device 1 includes a ferrite core 3, and a coil 5 provided on the periphery of the core. The coil has at least a first coil part 51 and a second coil part 53. The boundary end face CF<SB>1</SB>of the second coil part side in the first coil part is inclined so that the inner peripheral side may approach the second coil part from the outer peripheral side.
