<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission system for a vehicle which improves fuel economy as much as possible in a vehicle having a differential mechanism operable as an electrical continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission system contains a stepped transmission control means 56 for executing transmission control of an automatic transmission part 20 on the basis of a first transmission control map 66 previously stored in a relation storage means 58 when transmission ratio of an electrical continuously variable transmission part by a differential part 12 is variable, and the transmission control of the automatic transmission part 20 on the basis of a second transmission control map 68 previously stored in a relation storage means 58 when the transmission ratio of the electrical continuously variable transmission part is fixed. By so doing, the transmission ratio of the automatic transmission part 20 can be changed in accordance with a state of the electrical continuously variable transmission, which achieves the optimization in fuel economy of the overall power transmission system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
