<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generating device converting kinetic energy of external force applied to a building structure into heat energy, outputting kinetic energy from the heat energy and surely and efficiently generating electric energy from the kinetic energy. <P>SOLUTION: The device is constructed so that the external force applied to the building structure 160 is converted into the kinetic energy through a kinetic converting means 10, the heat energy is generated from the kinetic energy by an energy converting means 10, heat transfer medium having absorbed the heat energy is introduced to a driving means 12 to output the kinetic energy and a generating means 13 is driven by the kinetic energy to generate the electric energy.
