PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter control device that can replace a power switching element without causing an increase in the labor of a maintenance worker. SOLUTION: The purpose of this invention is achieved by using: a remaining life estimation means 11 that estimates a remaining life resulting from a power cycle of the power switching element for use in a power converter; a diagnosis result output means 15 that outputs a signal for instructing the replacement of the power switching element before reaching the life estimated by the remaining life estimation means 11; a load pattern storage means 12 that stores a load pattern of the power converter and obtains a moving average value of the load pattern during a prescribed period; a replacement time setting means 13 that sets a replacement time by estimating a time of the power switching element to be faulty with a future load pattern as the moving average value; and the power converter control device that is provided with an output limit setting means 14 that outputs a command for limiting an output of the power converter by use of information from the replacement time setting means 13.
