PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkene sulfide by which the separation of the produced alkene sulfide from a catalyst is easily carried out, the catalyst can be used repeatedly, and the yield in a short-time reaction is extremely heightened in the comparison with that in a conventional method using the same amount of the catalyst. SOLUTION: The method for producing the alkene sulfide by reacting an alkene with hydrogen sulfide and sulfur in the presence of the catalyst is characterized by the use of a type X or Y zeolite containing a hydrogen ion and an alkali metal ion as the catalyst.
