PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent longitudinal crack, bulging and brake-out of a cast slab by providing a mold with which excellent cooling characteristic in a high speed casting can stably be kept by preventing the deposit of stuck material on the wall surface of water-passage with a simple and low cost means. SOLUTION: The wall surface of the water passage for cooling water arranged in a copper plate for continuous casting mold constituting the inner wall surface of the continuous casting mold, is coated with coating material having≤40°wetting angle with the cooling water.
