PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a water soluble core which is excellent in the flowability, fillability, and strength. SOLUTION: The method for making a casting sand core includes a process for adding a small quantity of a water soluble binder to casting sand, and kneading the mixed sand, and then filling the mixed sand into a casting mold, a process for injecting a sufficient quantity of the water soluble binder to the filled casting sand, and a process for forming the casting sand by drying it.
