PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To agitate a biological base material with garbage efficiently in a biological garbage disposer which is used mainly at home. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with a main body 10 having a treatment tank 19 and an agitating member 24 for agitating the garbage and biological base material housed in the treatment tank 19. The agitating member 24 is provided with: a rotary shaft 26 extending vertically; a first blade part 29 having first inclined plates 31A, 31B each of which is projected outward from the rotary shaft 26 in the radial direction and inclined downward toward the direction similar to the rotational direction and first side plates 32A, 32B which are projected upward respectively from the outer edges of the first inclined plates 31A, 31B and inclined outward in the radial direction toward the direction opposite to the rotational direction; and a second blade part 35 having second inclined plates 37A, 37B each of which is projected outward from the rotary shaft 26 in the radial direction and inclined downward toward the direction similar to the rotational direction and second side plates 38A, 38B which are projected upward respectively from the outer edges of the second inclined plates 37A, 37B and inclined inward in the radial direction toward the direction opposite to the rotational direction.
