STRUT REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut reinforcement structure for reinforcing a lower part of the strut and preventing collapse of the strut because of a damage like metal fatigue or corrosion. SOLUTION: The strut reinforcement structure for reinforcing the lower part of the strut 1 constructed on the ground comprises a base plate 2 fixed to the lower part of the strut 1 by means of welding and plate-shaped reinforcing plates 4 arranged on an inner surface of the lower part of the strut 1 and extended in the same vertical direction as the strut. A plurality of the reinforcing plates 4 are arranged on the inner surface in the circumferential direction with their upper end sides 4a fixed to the inner surface of the strut by means of welding and with their lower end sides 4b fixed to the inner surface of the strut or to the base plate 2 by means of welding. The reinforcing plates 4 are preferably formed of a flat steel. A clearance is preferably formed between each of the reinforcing plates 4 and the inner surface of the strut except the part to be welded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
