PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying raw materials, enabling the re-use of fine materials fallen into white water in a papermaking machine, reducing the amount of the fine materials circulating in the papermaking machine, preventing the fine materials from piling up, also preventing the soil and paper cut and enabling the reduction of device load. SOLUTION: The method and device for supplying the raw materials in the papermaking machine for supplying the papermaking raw materials to a papermaking head box is provided by partitioning the inside of the papermaking head box as multiple layers for constituting it as a multiple-layered head box, supplying the papermaking raw materials by joining raw material-supplying piping through which the papermaking raw materials prepared by adding the white water to the papermaking raw materials mixed/prepared in a mixing chest are sent, with each of the layers of the head box, performing the ejection of the papermaking raw materials on the wire of a former part from the multiple-layered head box, recovering the discharged white water by dehydration through the wire, and supplying the fine raw materials recovered from the white water to only the layers other than the layer nearest to the wire among the layers in the multiple-layered head box.
