HYDRAULIC BINDER

A hydraulic binder containing slag, aluminium silicate and calcium sulphate containing the following essential constituents, wherein slag, particularly blast furnace slag, amounts to less than 50 per cent by weight, and the aluminium silicate is different from blast furnace slag e.g. fly ash and natural aluminium silicate, such as baslate or andesite, in amounts of 5 75 % by weight respectively in relation to the entire mixture with the proviso that the sum of slag and aluminium silicate is 82 95.9 % by weight, and CaSO₄ is provided as one of the activators, the amount thereof being 4 - 15 % by weight. Alkali activators, particularly alkalihydroxide and/or alkali carbonates of Na and/or K are also provided in amounts of 0.1 - 3 wt. %.
