A presentation system capable of effectively performing presentation of an article of display to observers. The presentation system essentially has, in order to perform effective presentation in a presentation space, an icon (2) that symbolically represents an object to be presented and whose identification information is stored in a non-contact IC tag, a presentation table (3), a display device (4), and a contents display control device (5). When the icon is placed on the presentation table, the identification information, stored in the tag, of the icon is read, and the contents corresponding to the information is displayed by the control device (5) using the display device (4).
