The sensor has two bridge branches (22, 24), in which two series connected resistances (R1-R4) are arranged, where one of the resistances is magnetoresistive. The series connected resistances pertaining to the bridge branches are arranged apart from each other in a direction of base axis. Connection leads (6, 8) for connecting the resistances are arranged such that area surrounded by a passive bridge circuit (2) is reduced.
