<p>In an image display device, a front panel (2) and a rear panel (1) are formed to face each other with a rectangular frame shaped side wall part (3) and a spacer (10) in between, and the inside is highly vacuumized. The rear panel is provided with a plurality of electron emitting elements (8) which emit electrons. The front panel is provided with an anode electrode (13) for accelerating the electrons from the electron emitting elements, and a grounding electrode (14). An insulating layer (9) mainly composed of fine particles having a particle diameter of 1nm-10µm is formed between the anode electrode and the grounding electrode.</p> |
