<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ceramic sintered compact capable of dewaxing evenly and reducing the difference of density of a vertical direction also for a ceramic shaped article having a spherical surface and to provide a ceramic sintered compact. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a ceramic sintered compact comprises: a process of hydrostatic pressure forming of the mixture containing at least a ceramic powder and an organic vehicle and forming a solid formed article having the ratio of at least 90% of a spherical surface occupying an outside surface; and a process of putting the above formed article on a mount having a conical recessed part of an angle θ of aperture of at least 75°, dewaxing and firing the same, wherein relative density is at least 99% of theoretical density, the ratio of the spherical surface occupying the outside surface is at least 90%, and when the sintered compact is segmented into an upper part, a middle part and a lower part, the difference of relative density of the upper part and a lower part is not more than 0.8%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
