<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple master cylinder of the system for scooping up hydraulic fluid required when performing automatic brake control such as traction control and running stability control from a reservoir through a pressure chamber, having high hydraulic fluid supply performance from the reservoir into the pressure chamber and excellent productivity and capable of effectively suppressing the phenomenon for reverse flow of hydraulic fluid into the reservoir at an initial time of operation and securing a satisfactory brake operation feeling. <P>SOLUTION: Communicating holes (only communicating hole 23 on one side is disclosed) into the first and second pressure chambers for generating brake liquid pressure are provided in a reservoir main body and a valve element 25 is provided in the communicating hole. The valve element 25 has a flat plate part 25a, an elastically deformable extension part 25b extending upward of the communicating hole from the flat plate part, and a locking part 25c locking an upper part of the extension part in a plane part 8c having a step. The valve element 25 moves upward by flowing pressure of hydraulic fluid generated when a cylinder operates into the reservoir 8 to shut off a communicating passage between conical faces 8b and 25d. A restriction passage 28 for communicating the reservoir with the pressure chamber when operating while the communicating passage is shut off is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
