PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading mechanism which can easily make the entire part of an apparatus thin and has no possibility of hindering an unloading operation. SOLUTION: A turntable 12 is equipped with a fixing member 13 having a bottom plate section 13a, a cylindrical projection 13b, a hub section 13c, etc., a movable member 14 having a linking section 14a, a receptacle section 14b, etc., a conical coil spring 15 elastically supporting the movable member 14, and a drop prevention member 19 stuck to the tip of the cylindrical projection 13b to prevent the drop of the movable member 14, such that the conical coil spring 15 compresses and the movable member 14 descends when a clamping pressure acts on a disk mounted on the receptacle section 14b. Also, the height position of the disk mounting surface of the receptacle section 14b is so set as not to be lower than the height position at the tip of the hub section 13c.
