PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duct type ventilating system capable of preventing the impairing of cooling/heating effect and the increase of energy consumption when generated odor is forcibly exhausted. SOLUTION: This duct type ventilating system having a ventilating unit 1 for circulating the air from air supply zones 16a, 16b, from circulation holes 4a, 4b of a plurality of circulation zones 2a, 2b defined in a building through circulation ducts 7a, 7b, 9, applies a constant air volume type ventilating unit as the ventilating unit, and comprises electric dampers 5a, 5b respectively mounted in passages of the circulation ducts respectively connecting the circulation hole of each circulation zone and the ventilating unit, odor sensors 3a, 3b respectively mounted in the circulation zones, and a control circuit 6 performing the control to fully close the electric dampers connected with the circulation zones excluding that where odor is detected, when the odor is detected by the odor sensor.
