PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip which suppresses the generation of wrinkles or the like securely, and also to provide its mounting method. SOLUTION: A trunk lid 3 is openably and closably provided in a trunk room of an automobile and a weather strip 4 is arranged at a peripheral edge of an opening of the trunk room 1. The weather strip 4 has a trim part 5 fitted to a body flange 21 provided at the peripheral edge of the opening of the trunk room, a hollow seal part 7 which comes into contact with the trunk lid 3 in a closed state, and an indoor lip part 13 extended from the trim part 5 to the inside of the automobile. The weather strip 4 is extrusion-molded in a way that a top end of the indoor lip 13 is fixed to a side wall part 10 on the outside of the automobile indirectly through a bridge 14. The bridge 14 except a part of which corresponds to a corner part of the peripheral edge of the opening of the trunk room is separated from the side wall part 10 on the outside of the automobile when mounted.
