PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of fixing an exhaust pipe of a muffler for a vehicle which enables fixation of a burring part to an exhaust pipe with easy work without the need for welding, and realizes weight reduction/cost reduction by making the exhaust pipe thin-walled. SOLUTION: The structure of fixing the exhaust pipe of the muffler for the vehicle enables the exhaust pipe (a tail pipe 4) to be fixed in a state of penetrating an exhaust-pipe through hole of a bulkhead (an end plate 11) of the muffler A for the vehicle. Then the structure is provided with the burring part 16 and a curl part 17. The burring part is continuously burred to the exhaust-pipe through hole 15. Then the curl part is processed from the end part of the exhaust pipe (the tail pipe 4) to the outside in the radial direction in a scroll pattern. The curl part 17 is crimped to the burring part 16 in the inner radial direction, thus the exhaust pipe (the tail pipe 4) is fixed to the burring part 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
