A deaeration valve (1) for a compression bag comprising a body member (2) and a valve element (3) wherein the body member (2) is provided with a fixing plate (21) abutting against the inner surface of a bag sheet (B1). A valve mechanism section (22) provided in the fixing plate (21) has a valve element supporting section (23) and a deaeration opening (24) is provided in the valve element supporting section (23). The valve element (3) is set by the engagement of a valve element side engaging part (32) provided in the center of the valve element (3) with a body member side engaging part (23b) provided in the center of the valve element supporting section (23). Since they engage with each other such that the valve element side engaging part (32) can move in the surface/rear direction with respect to the valve seat side engaging part (23b), the deaeration opening (24) can be closed when the valve element (3) contacts the valve element supporting section (23). When the valve element (3) is sucked to the surface side direction, the valve element side engaging part (32) moves in the surface side direction with respect to the valve seat side engaging part (23b) and a diaphragm part (31) bends in the surface side direction to open the deaeration opening (24).
