The gearbox for manipulation devices has a first form locking coupling (a) and a force or form locking second coupling (b) to connect the output drive of a motor. The drive input (1) connects via a coupling element (12) to the first coupling, a second element (19) forms a rotary connection with first element. The second element connects rigidly to the output drive of the motor, via the second coupling (b). The two coupling elements of the first coupling rotate together via meshing internal and external gearing (17,18), the external gearing being crowned.
