<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona discharge electrode which does not cause the deterioration of corona discharge performance due to the contamination of the corona discharge electrode, and to provide a dust collector comprising the corona discharge electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In the corona discharge electrode and the dust collector, a titanium oxide layer 31a is formed on the surface layer of the corona discharge electrode 31 and, thereby, oil, dust, etc. attached to the corona discharge electrode 31 can be decomposed. Accordingly, the surface of acute parts 32, 32 of the corona discharge electrode 31 can be kept clean and, therefore, the deterioration of corona discharge performance can be prevented. Further, ultraviolet rays that excites titanium oxide as a photocatalyst due to corona discharge in an atmosphere of the acute parts 32, 32 are supplied and, therefore, no outer light source is required. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
