<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a service specific to a device in an electronic apparatus control method, a software, and an electronic apparatus having a Universal Plug and Play function. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus control method in a system having a plurality of information processing terminals 4 and peripheral apparatuses 6 connected via a network 2, has a transmission process for transmitting a prescribed search request to search the peripheral apparatus 6 connected to the network 2; a reception process for receiving, from the peripheral apparatus 6, a reply to the search request to which identification information of the peripheral apparatus 6 is added; a recognition process for recognizing the identification information of the peripheral apparatus 6 by analyzing the reply to the search request; a detection process for detecting a function which can be provided by the information processing terminal 4 by use of the identification information recognized in the recognition process; and a storage process for storing the function detected in the detection process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
